Support the Work

In this moment especially, Unitarian Universalism has an important and profound role to play as we work to right wrongs and create the kind of skilled and well-developed communities we need.

You can help.

Grow the Fund

As funds go, ours is relatively small.  This places a natural limit on the work we can do while remaining fiscally responsible.  The world right now calls for a bigger vision, more work, and better funding for our dedicated religious educators who are working to innovate, reach out, and spread the word of who we are and how we can welcome people in.

Rather than accept the limits, we are widening the possibilities.

Vision

Our vision is based around community, connection, and not always relying on the "oh I know someone who" methods.  We need to build relationships between the more and less powerful, starting right here, in our own systems.  We need to support people doing excellent work.  We need to fund robustly to get quality materials that in turn support the work that we are all doing in the world.

We want to get our talented religious educators enough funding that they can put down the second job and make these faith formation projects their second job.  We don't want them exhausted from driving meal deliveries after working in their congregations, we want this to BE the other thing they do.

Why?

Have you seen the world lately?

And Unitarian Universalism, deeply lived, well-executed, thoroughly supported, learned, and practiced, directly contradicts so many of the concerning trends that are growing all around us.

We can make a difference.  We can support a different trajectory, and this is how.

But like almost everything, it takes money.

Small Donations

We are religious educators.  We stretch your dollar.  We make it work.

If you're also stretching dollars, we understand.

If you're moved to support this work, don't think it's ever too little.  We are so grateful for each and every gift.

Larger Gifts

Our first goal is to double the fund, to raise enough to have four to six fellows a year instead of two to three--a bigger cohort, more support more idea and energy exchange--and to hire an administrator.  What was once fully volunteer-run has outgrown 1880s and 1950s models of organizational leadership and to keep up, we need professional help.

A goal that size is well-met with both large and small giving.  If you are moved to support Unitarian Universalist faith formation and have a large gift in mind, please contact us at:
